At the end of February, some of the most innovative and ingenious companies on the planet will converge in Barcelona for a glorious, week-long collaboration: Mobile World Congress (MWC).

Much more than a trade shindig it’s an opportunity to get a glimpse to the mobile potential still to be unleashed and the benefits these new technologies and applications will bring to businesses and people all around the globe.  It’s an exhilarating, amazing event that gives us all a chance to immerse ourselves in the exciting launches to come and be awed by the possibilities ahead.

And for us at Telmap, as we believe great things await the LBS industry in 2012, this is a very exciting event.

Those of you who are already familiar with Telmap know that our vision has always been to fulfill all end users’ needs while they are on-the-go. And visitors to our booth at MWC will be able to experience first-hand our superb LBS application, the Telmap Mobile Location Companion, which will be presented on huge interactive touch screens as well as on everyday mobile devices.

Yes, people will be able to try out our Location Companion for themselves, but we will also be on hand to discuss our business (we were recently named 85th fastest growing technology company in Deloitte’s coveted Technology Fast500 (EMEA) ranking), our recent acquisition by Intel, our 2012 strategy and latest product developments.

We are also looking to share our opinion and discuss the issues, hot topics and trends that are changing the face of mobile LBS such as location-enabled social networking and location-enabled commerce (coupons, vouchers, advertising, and commissions).
